## Pg. 58 - Light Activities

For the top part I had students look at their reflection in the concave and convex side of a spoon and describe what they saw.

On the bottom we talked about the difference between transparent, translucent, and opaque.
(I got this awesome idea from beakersandbumblebees.blogspot.com)

Light is the only thing that I didn't understand until I saw this page!

Hey!
I think you've got lenses confused with mirrors.
Sides of a spoon is act like a mirror.

Convex mirrors bend light rays outwards, and concave mirrors bend light rays inwards (most of the time).
Convex lenses bend light rays inwards, and concave lenses bend light rays outwards.

Cheers! :)
